Carlisle Racecourse

Carlisle is Cumbria's only racecourse and stages both Flat and Jump racing on a testing, right-handed circuit. The historic Carlisle Bell, whose trophy dates from the sixteenth century, is among Britain's oldest sporting prizes, while the Cumberland Plate is another established summer highlight.
