Welcome to Slaley Rose & Crown, the pub/restaurant owned by the community it serves following a successful community share offer in 2013. The Rose & Crown is a Grade 2 listed building which dates back to 1675. It has been providing services to locals and visitors ever since. It is in the heart of Slaley village, home of Slaley Show, close to the Slaley Hall golf complex. It is a fine touring base with the local attractions of Hexham, Corbridge, Hadrian's Wall, Beamish Open Air Museum, historic Durham City and indoor shopping at The Metro Centre Gateshead, all a short drive away. Newcastle with its International airport is a 30 minute drive away. The Northumberland coast with Alnwick castle and gardens, including Lindisfarne island are within an hours drive. We offer a wide menu selection of freshly cooked food from locally sourced ingredients as well as a great choice of real ales, beers, wines and spirits. Whether you are exploring Hadrian’s Wall Country or simply looking for a nice place to eat then the Rose & Crown is the place to visit and stay in. Both of our B&B bedrooms enjoy wonderful views and are en-suite and centrally heated. They have been recently refurbished but have retained the original character expected in a building of this age. Our recently refurbished self catering apartment has two bedrooms - one double and one with bunk beds. It has a very comfortable open plan lounge, dining area and kitchen. It is a home from home.
